The completion of this senior thesis project allowed me to explore an existing project and design alternate solutions. In doing so, I have learned about different design techniques within the lighting/electrical industry and individual problem solving. I also had the opportunity to see how the integration of all building systems interrelate to one another through the exploration of breadth topics. While this course was challenging, it has prepared me to work individually as well as collaboratively within a group setting. It also taught me how to be organized during the entire design process from conceptual/schematic design, to final documentation. Overall, I believe that this course has better prepared me to enter the workforce with the knowledge to apply engineering skills to projects that impact and improve the lives of others.

Note: While great efforts have been taken to provide accurate and complete information on the pages of CPEP, please be aware that the information contained herewith is considered a work-in progress for this thesis project. Modifications and changes to the original building designs and construction methodologies for this senior thesis project are solely the interpretation of Collin Jones. Changes and discrepancies in no way imply that the original design contained errors or was flawed. Differing assumptions, code references, requirements, and methodologies have been incorporated into this thesis project; therefore, investigation results may vary from the original design.
